Sudbury - Path of Discovery

The "Path of Discovery" bus tour (taking several hours) is highly recommended for anyone visiting Sudbury in the summer months. Starting at the Big Nickel Mine this mini geological field-trip makes a circuit of the Sudbury meteorite crater. There are various stops en route for guides to point out traces of the meteorite's impact on the earth's surface and to explain its consequences in terms of the geological composition and present day topography of the area and the formation of the mineral fields.
