Enns valley

Many visitors enter Styria by way of the Enns valley. To the north extends the Styrian part of the Salzkammergut with its numerous lakes (Grundlsee, Altausseer See and the Tauplitzseen, at the foot of the Totes Gebirge). The chief places in the Styrian Salzkammergut are Bad Aussee, Bad Mitterndorf (ski jump on the top of the pass, chairlift to Tauplitzalm), Pürgg and Wörschach. The road continues eastward through Admont and the Gesäuse gorge and from there along the Salza valley to Mariazell or past the Leopoldsteiner See to Eisenerz and the Eisberg.
