Stockholm - Skeppsholmen Museums
To the south of the National Museum in Stockholm is a bridge leading on to the island of Skeppsholm, formerly occupied by the Swedish navy, on which are the Skeppsholm Church (1842), the Museum of Architecture, the Museum of East Asian Art and the Modern Museum, with a large collection of contemporary art (periodic special exhibitions) and a Museum of Photography.

Modern Art Museum
Designed by Rafael Moneo, the museum opened in 1958. It houses the largest collection of modern and contemporary art in Sweden: 6,000 paintings, sculptures, objects and installations, 26,000 works on paper (drawings, etchings, etc.), 100,000 photographs and nearly 300 films and videos.
