(Local Name: Schloss Turmhof) The Turmhof, a castle on the lakeside of Steckborn, built about 1320 (17th C. domed tower and corner turrets) by Diethelm von Castell, Abbot of Reichenau, houses a local museum (contains Neolithic, Roman and Alemannian exhibits, Steckborn ceramics, examples of wrought-iron and turned wood from the 18th and 19th C.: closed in winter).
