Heritage Park
Barbados is dotted with the ruins of abandoned sugar mills which became uneconomical with centralized processing. The refinery buildings of Heritage Park were lovingly restored in 1996.
Some of the buildings date back to the 17th century and are listed by the Barbados National Trust.

A sugar machinery museum has a large collection of the types of grinders, pumps and other devices once used in the sugar industry.
