St John Hiking Trails - Reef Bay Trail

The Reef Bay Trail covers 2.2mi/3km descending from Bordeaux Mountain (1277ft/389m), the highest point on St John. The most famous of all the island trails, the hike leads through shady moist and dry forests and passes the ruins of four sugar plantations along the way to the south shore at Reef Bay.

The Petroglyph Trail is a moderate hike (.2mi/.3km) leading to waterfalls and mysterious petroglyphs (rock drawings). The disputed origins of the drawings are attributed to either Arawak Indians or West Africans.
