St Augustine - Ponce De León's Fountain of Youth National Archeological Park
The Fountain of Youth Archecological Site claims to be the original fountain of youth chronicled by Ponce de León after his landing in the area in 1513. Archeological teams have unearthed various historical artifacts here including a Timucuan Indian burial site, a coquina stone cross rumored to be León's original landing marker and other Spanish Colonial artifacts.
