Bodelwyddan Castle
Visitors are encouraged to visit Bodelwyddan Castle, if only to see the National Portrait Gallery's regional station for Victorian portraits. The house itself is a fine construction that features a genuine 17th C entrance hall and elaborate plaster and vaultwork. The main chimneypiece is adorned with cast-iron knights in armor while the library has a second chimneypiece with trees and animals carved in low relief.
