The Golden Coast

(Local Name: Costa Dorada / Costa Daurada) The Costa Dorada ("Golden Coast"), extending south from the Costa Brava along the Mediterranean, takes in almost the whole coastline of the provinces of Barcelona and Tarragona. With a total length of some 260km/ 160mi, it attracts many visitors with its gently sloping beaches of fine golden sand and its notably mild climate.
