Moyeni Attractions

Moyeni/Quthing (pop. 6,000), founded in 1877, is the chief town of Quthing district. Its double name is due to the fact that the first post station was called Quthing. Moyeni means ''place of the wind'', for in this area there is always a strong wind blowing.
Qacha's Nek, South Africa
(Near Moyeni/Quthing)
From Moyeni/Quthing it is well worth making an excursion to Qacha's Nek (203km/126mi - a whole-day trip) for the sake of the grand mountain scenery. Two features of interest on the way are some dinosaur footprints (in a fenced enclosure) and a remarkable cave occupied by Bushmen near the village of Pokane.
