Badplaas Attractions
Badplaas ("Place of the Baths"), one of South Africa's best known thermal resorts, is set against the fantastic backdrop of the greenish-blue Hlumo Hlumo Mountains. The spa complex is equipped with bungalows, a camping site and four beautiful medicinal pools situated in a valley.
Baadplaas Nature Reserve
In the Badplaas Nature Reserve (area 35,000ha/86,450ac), which is reached from the road to Barberton, live large numbers of animals, mainly species of antelope. There are numerous hiking and riding trails in the park, which is open throughout the year; horses can be hired at local stables.
