Neidpath Castle
The L-shaped Fraser Castle above the Tweed (1mi/1.6km to the west) dates from the late 14th century and was destroyed by Cromwell's troops. In some places the walls are 10ft/3m thick.
Northgate House
Northgate House is a stone house that was built in 1840. It has been converted into a regional office for the National Trust of Scotland.
