Stoos

From Schwyz take the road which runs southeast up the Muota valley and arrives in 4km/2mi at Schlatti. From there a funicular (1.5km/1mi long, gradient up to 77%, time eight minutes) climbs the steep wooded hillside to Stoos (1,290 m/4,232ft), situated on a terrace commanding extensive views, with a large area of excellent skiing terrain. Eight minutes' walk southwest of the Kurhaus a chairlift (in winter a ski-lift) takes 15 minutes to reach the Karrenstöckli (1,740 m/5,709ft). From here it is a 10-minute walk to the Luegi viewpoint.
