Scheveningen - Kurhaus

 
From the fishing harbor in the southwest to the Strandhotel in the northeast the seafront boulevard runs for 3km/2mi above the beach along the edge of the dunes, lined by hotels with terraces overlooking the sea. The hub of activity is the imposing Kurhaus in Art Nouveau style (now protected as a national monument), which houses a hotel, a restaurant, a gallery, promenades and the Kurzaal.

Around the Kurhaus is a residential area and pedestrian precinct laid out on the most modern plan, with gardens, shops, cafes and a fitness center (sports hall, swimming pool with artificial waves, sauna, solarium, etc.).
