Visitors to the Tybee Island Lighthouse can climb the stairs to the top which stands 150ft/46m tall. The first lighthouse at this location was built in 1733 but was replaced by new ones in 1742, 1773, and rebuilt again following partial destruction by Confederate troops in 1862.
