Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, in Sarasota, is a 9.5-acre tropical oasis on the shores of Sarasota Bay. It is home to an amazing living collection of rare tropical plants in open-air and under-glass displays, including more than 6,000 orchids and 3,600 bromeliads in incredible living color.
Marie Selby Botanical Gardens also contains the Baywalk Sanctuary, which is an elevated boardwalk with views over a mangrove swamp and parts of the Sarasota bay. As well there is a museum of botany and the arts, a butterfly garden and a research and learning facility.
