Description
Near the end of the Paseo de la Independencia in Zaragoza, beyond the post office (on the left), is the former convent of Santa Engracia, an elaborately decorated Plateresque building (15th-16th century) which was almost completely destroyed in 1809 (restored 1898); only the alabaster doorway is original. In the crypt are two Early Christian marble sarcophagi.
