Beaches

Between São Sebastião and Bertioga there are the following good beaches: Baraqueçaba (6km/4mi), Guaecá (good surfing), Toque-Toque Grande (with a waterfall), Toque-Toque Pequeno, Paúba, Maresias (27km/17mi; popular with surfers), Boiáucanga (42km/26mi), Camburo (43km/27mi), Baleia (45km/28mi) and Barra do Saí (47km/29mi). On the last five yachts anchor alongside fishing canoes and exclusive apartment blocks stand side by side with simple fishermen's huts. From the Praia de Boiáucanga, where the fishing boats put in, it is only a short distance to the last untouched beaches on this stretch of coast (e.g. Praia Brava de Boiáucanga).
