Mission Museum

On Praça São Miguel, immediately adjoining the church, is the Mission Museum (Museu das Missões), designed by Lúcio Costa and built with stone from the ruins of the mission and from the quarries which had been worked by the Jesuits. It contains fragments of sculpture and remains of buildings from the Sete Povos; audio-visual show illustrating the history of the mission stations.
