Portella della Femmina Morta

On the SS 289 the tourist will come upon a water-shed 1,524m/5,000ft up in the mountains, known as the Portella della Femmina Morta. A little way prior to this a partially tarred road branches off to the left to Monte Soro, at 1,847m/6,061ft the highest peak in the Monti Nébrodi. There is a panoramic view from the summit.
