State Capitol
The State Capitol is a striking circular building built in 1966 and modeled on an Indian kiva (cult building). Known as the Roundhouse, it is unlike any other state house in the United States. However, the adobe structure seems to fit right in here in Santa Fe. The four story structure, with one floor below ground level, features a large Rotunda which rises 60 feet, and is capped with a stained glass skylight.On the top floor is the Governor's Gallery with changing exhibits throughout the year. The State Capitol is also home to a collection of art belonging to the Capitol Art Foundation. Paintings, sculptures, and a range of other artwork decorate various spaces inside and outside of the Roundhouse. On the grounds are the Clay Buchanan Memorial Gardens, with trees and all kinds of plants native to New Mexico.
Capitol Art Foundation
The Capitol Art Foundation, on the third floor of the Santa Fe State Capitol Building, displays recent work by New Mexico artists.
Governor's Gallery
The Governor's Gallery on the fourth floor of the State Capitol in Santa Fe exhibits New Mexico artists that are of importance to international audiences.

Hotel St Francis
One block from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe is the Hotel St Francis, which was built in the 1880s and rebuilt in 1923 after a fire. The hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Maria's New Mexican Kitchen
Maria's New Mexican Kitchen is a restaurant in Santa Fe. A local landmark, Maria's began in 1952 as a small take-out kitchen. The current owners purchased the property in 1985 and it was re-established as one of Santa Fe's premier restaurants.
