Santa Cruz - Mission Santa Cruz
History
Practically nothing is left of this mission, and no attempt has been made to restore it. In 1825 an earthquake demolished the building, and scarcely had makeshift repairs been carried out when the foundations were weakened by the spring tide of the Santa Cruz river. In 1857 another earthquake destroyed what was left and looting added to the devastation.
