San Sebastián - Aquarium / Oceanographic Museum

(Local Name: Museo Oceanográfico) The Aquarium, to the west of the harbor at the near end of the Bahía de la Concha, has an interesting Oceanographic Museum; the exhibits include the skeleton of a large whale, ship models, navigational instruments and documents.

Recent renovations included the addition of an oceanarium which provides a viewing area completely surrounded by water. A walkway leads through a large glass tube running through the aquarium.
