Description
(Local Name: Museo de Casals) Visitors interested in classical music will want to be sure to stop in the Museo de Casals (Pablo Casals Museum). The name may sound familiar as the Pablo Casals Museum is dedicated to the famed Spanish cellist Pablo Casals, who made his home in Puerto Rico in 1956 and remained for the last 16 years of his life. Casals became the conductor of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and the president of the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico. On display at the Museo de Casais are cellos, photographs, and manuscripts, and other personal items related to the artist himself.
