San Juan's Museo del Indio (Indian Museum) contains a wide range of artefacts related to the indigenous people of Puerto Rico. The Museo del Indio is a good spot for visitors to Puerto Rico to familiarize themselves with the various ancient cultures and traditions prior to heading out of San Juan. The Indian Museum has a nickname based on the building it is housed in - Casa de los Dos Zaguanes, Building of two Foyers. The museum is particularly noted for its fine collection of small stone gods called cemies.
