San Francisco - Maritime Museum

The National Maritime Museum in San Francisco is to be found in the eastern part of the Aquatic park.This maritime museum contains models of the different sorts of ships that pass through the Golden Gate - passenger ships, freighters and men-of-war. There is also a library with a collection of historical newspaper cuttings about Californian seafaring, books, pamphlets, log-books, maps and charts. The Photographic Archive possess about 100,000 pictures of sailing vessels, steamers, harbors and views of the port area of San Francisco, the appearance of which is changing all the time.
