First San Diego Courthouse Description
The First San Diego Courthouse was built in 1847 by members of the Mormon Battalion and housed the Mexican Mayor of San Diego until 1850. The courthouse was destroyed in the Old Town fire of 1872 and the replica was dedicated in 1992.
