Haydn Memorial Description
In the St Peter's Abbey courtyard can be found the Haydn memorial. On display are items illustrating the life and work of the "Salzburg Haydn". i.e. Johann Michael Haydn (1737-1806), the brother of Joseph Haydn. From 1763 he lived in Salzburg as court musician, and from 1781 succeeded W. A. Mozart as court and cathedral organist.
