At the north end of State Street, on Capitol Hill, which rises to a height of 2,95ft/90m above the city, is the Utah State Capitol, a Neo-Classical domed building 2,85ft/87m high which houses the House of Representatives, Senate and Supreme Court of Utah. It has a particularly fine interior, with its marble rotunda, the Golden Room (the Governor's reception room) and a small exhibition on the history and economy of Utah.

Tips: Guided tours begin inside the east doors of the Capitol on the first floor and last approximately one hour. Tours are offered on the hour between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday.
