With a floor area for exhibits of over 100,000sq.ft./10,000sq.m., the California State Railroad Museum is the world's largest railway museum. It houses restored locomotives and railway coaches of all ages, as well as 46 other items. Almost all the wagons can be viewed inside.The California State Railroad Museum is one of the premier attractions in Sacramento.

In the completely restored station building of the railroad station in Sacramento you will find the Central Pacific Passenger Depot, where you will be transported back to the second half of the 19th century. In the summer months you can travel to Miller Park in historic trains.
