Boymans Van Beuningen Museum Description
Situated 1km/.75mile south of the Central Station, a building erected in 1935 houses the world- famed Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, with a magnificent collection of pictures, sculpture, applied and decorative art (including Persian, Spanish, Italian and Dutch majolica, porcelain, glass, silver, pewter, lace and furniture), drawings and prints. The museum can also be reached from the Westblaak.

This is one of the great museums of the Netherlands, with its collections - originally assembled by F. J. O. Boijmans (d. 1847) and since then much enlarged - displayed in light modern rooms.
