Tramway Museum Description
(Local Name: Sporvejsmuseet) Southwest of Lejre, in the wooded region of Skjoldenæsholm, near Gyldenløves Høj, 126m/414ft high and the highest point on Zealand, will be found a Tramway Museum (Sporvejsmuseet). On display are trams of the period 1863 to 1949; from 1952 they were replaced by diesel buses. A Museum Tramway is in operation. Texts and pictures provide a survey of the history of public transport in Denmark.
