Røros - Miners' Houses

The old houses of Røros, excellently restored, preserve something of the aspect of this old mining town in past centuries. In Slaggveg can be seen a row of miners' houses up to 250 years old. The more prosperous inhabitants of the town lived in the main street, Bergmannsgate. The size and furnishings of the houses give clear evidence of sharp class distinctions.
