Riverside - Heritage House

The Riverside Heritage House, a Queen Anne Victorian home, is located on historic Magnolia Avenue. The home was originally built for Mrs. Catharine Bettner in 1891 and is typical of an orange grower's home during this period when the citrus industry in Riverside was in full swing. The exterior of the Heritage House reflects the craftsmanship of the late 19th century and the interior is furnished in period revealing a glimpse of an earlier lifestyle.

The home has been restored and furnished to reflect a typical house of its stature as it might have appeared from 1890 to 1900 in Riverside. The Heritage House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a designated landmark of the City of Riverside.

The grounds feature original and reproduction outbuildings and heirloom gardens.
