Newby Hall and Gardens Description
Newby Hall (14mi/22km north) is a delightfully situated manor house renovated by Robert Adam in 1770. It is famed for its collection of tapestries and statues, but its gardens are also worth seeing.

The 25 acres of formal gardens include tropical, rock and water displays as well as a vast woodland area. There is also an adventure garden for the children and miniature railway rides by the river.
