Rijeka Governor's Palace and Maritime and Historical Museum of Coastal Croatia

(Local Name: Guvernerova Palaca i Povijesni I Pomorski Muzej) The Governor's Palace (Guvernerova Palaca) in Rijeka was the former residence of the Hungarian governor. Today the Palace houses the Maritime and Historical Museum of Coastal Croatia (Povijesni I Pomorski Muzej). The neo-Renaissance building was designed by Alajos Haussmann, an architect from Budapest and was built in the late 1800s. The Governor's Palace is worth of visit on its own just for its grandeur.
