The Shasta Trinity National Forest is located in northern California and stretches over more than 2,100,000 acres. There are great trails in the area including 154 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. The forest offers lake and stream fishing.

Lake Shasta Caverns
Lake Shasta Caverns was first known as Chalk Cave, later as Baird Cave, in honor of Professor Spencer F. Baird, the first U.S. fish Commissioner appointed in 1872. Finally, as Lake Shasta Caverns. Visitors must take a cruise across Shasta Lake to get to the entrance of the cave.

Shasta Dam
The Shasta Dam, north of Redding, has the highest overflow spillway in the world. The dam stands 602 feet high and is 3,460 feet wide.
Trinity Center - Scott Museum of Trinity Center
The Scott Museum has exhibits that include hand-drawn vehicles such as the buddy and stage coach, a barbed-wire collection and American Indian artifacts.
