Kaiserstrasse Description
On Rastatt's Kaiserstrasset, a wide street running at right angles to the palace's axis of symmetry, stands the Baroque Town Hall (1750), with the Alexius Fountain in front of it. To the southeast are the Johannisbrunnen (St John's Fountain) and St Alexander's Church (1756-64), which has a sumptuous high altar.
