Randers - Clausholm Manor

Clausholm Manor, 13 km/8mi southeast of Randers, is occasionally used for concerts. The five-winged Baroque building was erected between 1699 and 1723 for Grand Chancellor Conrad Reventlow (bust above the main entrance). Later it came into the possession of Frederik IV, who had a love affair with Anna Sophie, the daughter of the Reventlow family, and later married her even though his first wife was still alive. Note the Dining Salon with stucco-work, the so-called "Royal Suite" and the Chapel which has the oldest organ in the country.
