Quesnel and District Museum
The Quesnel & District Museum at 707 Carson Ave. / Highway 97 documents the history of settlers in the region, including gold-diggers, farmers, lumberjacks and ranchers as well as Indians and Chinese.
Exhibits, displayed in a 11,000 sq ft building, include information on the explorers, including Alexander Mackenzie, pioneer life, and strangely enough, the Titanic. The "Village Street" shows old stores and establishments as they would have been in pioneer times and the Cariboo Home shows a house laid out and funished in period. The Quesnel and District Musuem also has a children's section with interactive exhibits.
The museum is known for it's e collection of Chinese artifacts, some of which are quite rare.
