Black Hawk State Historic Site Description
The Black Hawk State Historic Site is 207 acres in Rock Island and was named for the Indian warrior who led the natives into battle in the Black Hawk War. The Hauberg Indian Museum is found within the site and displays Indian relics. The collection of Dr. John Hauberg formed the basis for the displays including full-size replicas of Sauk winter and summer houses.

The Hauberg Museum is open from 9:00 A.M. to noon and 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. March through October; 9:00 A.M. to noon and 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. November through February. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
