Esperanza Attractions

Originally, Esperanza was a sugar port with a population of around 1,500. More recently a few Americans set up a guesthouse in the village and Esperanza became known among independent travellers as an economical destination. This is still largely true today although prices have gone up some. Facing the Caribbean is the Calle Flamboyán, a small strip of cafés and restaurants. There is a small also a museum on the strip.

Esperanza doesn't look like much from the road but the ocean front area is beautiful.
