Description
(Local Name: Museo de Arte Popular (Santa Rosa Convent)) The former Santa Rosa Convent is situated on Calle 3 Norte 1203 two blocks south-west. It now contains the Museo de Arte Popular (Museum of Popular Art), a library, shops, and a model of the original fully-tiled convent kitchen with old utensils, where in 1680 a nun is supposed to have invented the famous Mole Poblano, a dish prepared with numerous spices and chocolate.
