Pretoria - Strijdom Square
In front of the State Theatre, in Strijdom Square, is a bust (by Coert Steynberg, 1972) of J. G. Strijdom, prime minister of South Africa in the 1950s. Another piece of sculpture in the square is Danie de Jager's "Galloping Horses", symbolizing freedom. A market is held in the square every Saturday morning.
