Potsdam - Neuer Garten and Mauener Vorstadt

Potsdam's other large park, the Neuer Garten, lies on the shores of the Heiliger See. It is a landscaped park in the "sentimental" style of the late 18th C., laid out by J. A. Eyserbeck the Younger in 1789-91 on the model of Wörlitz Park and improved by J. P. Lenné in 1817-25.

Alexandrowka
The houses in the little settlement of Alexandrowka in Potsdam were built for the last twelve members of a 62-strong choir of Russian soldiers who found their way here during Napoleon's Russian campaign. The houses were based on Russian models, and the settlement was laid out by P. J. Lenné in the form of a St Andrew's cross.
Cecilienhof
Among other buildings in the Neuer Garten in Potsdam (an obelisk, a Gothic temple, pyramids, the Red House, the Green House, the Dairy) is Schloss Cecilienhof (by P. Schultze-Naumburg, 1913-17), in the style of an English country house. This was the meeting place of the Potsdam Conference of July-August, 1945, (conference room, with its original furniture; rooms occupied by the heads of government).
