Description
The Steel Bridge over the Willamette River in Portland is considered unique because it is one of the only known dual-lift truss bridges in the world. It is the second-oldest vertical lift bridge in North America.

The current bridge was finished in 1912 and replaced the Steel Bridge swing span bridge that was built in 1888 in the same location.
