Yyteri Beach

A very attractive excursion from Pori is on Road 265 to Yyteri, with its fine sandy beach, continuing to Mäntyluoto and over a causeway to the island of Reposaari. The road passes the water tower at Kaana (cafe, with view). At Yyteri are a hotel, a camping site and holiday chalets. On Reposaari is a fine church in Norwegian style; on the harbor (which played an important part in the 19th century) can be seen a monument commemorating the gunboat S 2, which sank in a storm in 1927.
