Pittsburgh - Shadyside Summer Arts Festival (closed)

Since 1971, gallery owners and local artists lined their artwork along storefronts in Shadyside. This showcase slowly evolved into an arts festival featuring professional artists from around the world, who gather to sell their own collectible art to over 200,000 people. The three-day festival in August focuses first-time local artists and Pittsburgh's up-and-coming art scene in general.

Live music, a kid's tent, dancing, art demonstrations and a high technology exhibit are part of the festival.
