Philadelphia Museum of Art

At the south end of Fairmount Park is the prominently situated Philadelphia Museum of Art, approached by a broad flight of steps, which has one of the largest art collections in the United States, with some 300,000 exhibits, many of them presented by various foundations. Among the finest sections of the museum are the medieval galleries, which include pictures by Rogier van der Weyden and the van Eyck brothers and complete structures such as a Romanesque cloister and a Gothic chapel.
