City Tavern Description
City Tavern, also called the Merchants' Coffee House, offers authentic 18th century dining. It was considered the political, social, and business center of the new United States. It was the site of much food and drink during the preparation and debate over of The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution.

Originally built in 1773, the Tavern burned down in 1854 and was rebuilt in 1975.
